Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park is a small but diverse park located in northern Tanzania, just a short drive from the city of Arusha. Covering about 552 square kilometers, the park is known for its varied landscapes, including lush montane forests, open savannah, alpine moorland, and the striking peaks of Mount Meru.

The park’s highlights include the Ngurdoto Crater, often called “Little Ngorongoro,” the Momella Lakes known for their wading birds like flamingos, and Mount Meru, the second-highest mountain in Tanzania, which offers challenging trekking routes and stunning views.

Wildlife in Arusha National Park includes giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, warthogs, and various species of monkeys, such as the black-and-white colobus. While large predators like lions are rare, the park is rich in birdlife and scenic beauty.
