Faqs
Is it safe to go on safari in Tanzania?
Yes, Tanzania is a safe safari destination, especially when traveling with experienced guides like those from Mtila Safaris. Always follow your guide's advice and safety protocols while in the bush.
What is the best time to visit Tanzania for a safari?
The dry season from June to October offers the best wildlife viewing, but the green season (November to March) is also great for birding and seeing baby animals, especially in the Serengeti.
Can I combine a safari with a beach holiday?
Absolutely. Many travelers combine a northern circuit safari with a relaxing beach escape in Zanzibar, Pemba, or Mafia Island. Mtila Safaris can create a seamless itinerary for both.
What should I pack for my safari?
Pack neutral-colored clothing, a hat, sunscreen, comfortable shoes, insect repellent, and a good camera. Layers are helpful for early morning drives and cooler evenings.
Do I need vaccinations to travel to Tanzania?
Consult your doctor before traveling. Common recommendations include Yellow Fever (if coming from an endemic country), Hepatitis A & B, Typhoid, and Malaria prophylaxis.
